My excitement about the move is building by the day.
I got a few minutes to talk to my future landlord about our living arrangements. The internet has a magical way of bringing amazing people into your world- people who can, quite literally, change your life.
About my landlord- Kristin is super cool, she's Paleo, she does web design, and you may have seen some of her work over at FastPaleo.com. While she didn't design FastPaleo, she's making it SO much more functional so that it's faster and easier to use. I know, right!? Too cool. One of my favorite Paleo recipe sites. (Oooh... and look for the super-handy app.)
Total serendipity!
By the end of our conversation, we agreed that for the use of the guest house, I would pay for my utilities, and do physical labor as payment for rent. I'm totally cool with that. Best of all, I am able to stay there as long as I need to so that I can save up for my homestead.
*giddy*
With that agreement, it turns out I'll be able to make an additional trip down to Knoxville in March to see everyone and check out the guest house. There's so much planning to do yet, but I got my resume nearly finished and have started narrowing down the list of prospective employers.
And because Kristin is giving me such an amazing deal, I offered to give her a shout out on the blog. I highly encourage you to check out Boondock Marketing and consider her next time you need marketing services. Shoot, just look at FastPaleo as an example!
More puzzle pieces coming together and the big picture is getting clearer. It's indeed a very exciting time for this Wilderness Childe.
Tennessee needs you, friend...and perhaps you need Tennessee! I just get that feeling every time I hop over here to check your progress and read your posts. Be well and keep looking south! This place will embrace you.
