Winter Stores Day 7

Today was a bit of an unusual food day. I guess that's to be expected sooner or later. It was my rest day for the weekend which meant sort of freestyling the eats. The day instead consisted of a lot of laundry and cleaning before game night.

I stayed up ridiculously late last night, which meant I slept ridiculously late, and therefore ate breakfast ridiculously late. I was already elbow deep in pig fat (and other parts) by the time I got hungry, and opted to knock some old stuff out of my cupboard.

My friend Chelse brought me some gluten-free hot breakfast cereal some time ago, and a couple packets have been sitting in the cupboard for a while, so I decided to go ahead and eat them, along with the nearly overripe blood orange that's been sitting on my counter.

So after mucking through my bucket-o-pig, and eating breakfast, I separated the goodies into their respective pots... bones & bits, pure fat, and not so pure fat...

I had to run out and do laundry but decided I need something more than a little cereal and an orange, so I mixed together some whey and some Greek yogurt into an odd sort of pudding. It wasn't bad really. Just sort of thick and... batter-like.

JP made his quinoa quiche and I cooked up some pork jowl. I can't tell you how much of this I ate, other than it more than made up for my lack of food throughout the day. A little orange juice with seltzer.

Simply an example. I had several helpings of all of this.

One week down, three to go.
