Winter Stores Day 22

Today was fabulous, both in terms of food and in terms of events.

Girls night continued through the morning and I made a big breakfast of coconut-flour pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and coffee. I topped mine with Kerrygold butter and honey.

Winter Stores Update: I now have less than 1 dozen fresh eggs in my house. Nine eggs to last nine days. This is gonna get really close! I may have to do something different for breakfast protein if I don't budget them out properly.

There was an event at the yoga studio today called Kirtan. It's a hindu drumming & chanting session and it's wonderful fun. We raised so much energy tonight, and honored the gods. The best part is that this is going to become a monthly event! I'm very excited about this.

Planning ahead for the Kirtan, I pulled some goat meat out of the freezer and made some goat curry with basmati rice. Both the coconut milk and the rice are Golden Star products. Rice might not be Primal, but basmati rice is magic and I love the way it tastes. If I'm going to eat rice, it better be basmati.

I used my last can of coconut milk that I had in the house. I have one can being held hostage at work at the moment. I have to remember to bring it home.

I feel as if I've eaten a crap ton of food in the last 48 hours. I'm tossing around the idea of doing Whole30 next month... possibly.
For some reason (perhaps staying up until 4 in the morning) I am incredibly tired tonight. A nice hot bath and then bed. Gotta hit the weights early tomorrow.

Only 9 days left and then I'm stuffing my face full of green leaves, and a banana.

DITTO on Alissa's comment! Wow!!! I wish my pancakes turned out that good-they suck most times... any secrets?

So Winter Stores is almost over-do you think you will do it again or did you cut through the cupboards?

That Kirtan thing sounds AMAZING and OUTSTANDING!!! OMG i wish we had something like that... even remotely close to where I live... (PS I live in a very Christian and Conservative (not in the good ways) area... so not really happening) Just reading about it raised my energy levels! :D

<3 thank you for doing your part to make this Universe a beautiful one to live in! :)

Oh the pancakes are SO yummy. I think these will be a special treat I make for breakfast after girls' night before the Kirtan. I use Emily's recipe at Joyful Abode (http://www.joyfulabode.com/2010/07/03/grain-free-gluten-free-coconut-flour-pancake-recipe/) She's a genius!

I cut through the stores pretty good but I still have a bunch of stuff left too. I'm going to consciously try to work through them next month, but I'm really tempted to do Whole30 next month. That might be damn near impossible.

Kirtan is WONDERFUL. I can't wait for the next one. :D

Aww thank's Manda. So much <3 for you!
